Weekend In Seattle

Seattle, known as the Emerald City, is unique in everyway.

Seattle sports a compact and vibrant downtown area, which is perfect for exploring on foot. When you arrive at SeaTac airport, hop aboard the Sound Transit (Seattle’s light rail) and enjoy the 37-minute ride into Westlake Center, which is only a few blocks from the beautiful boutique hotel, Inn at the Market.

Teatro ZinZanni is too much fun to miss. Life is good with a combination of great food and superb entertainment.

On Saturday, begin the day with a crumpet treat at The Crumpet Shop. You’ll go back for more, we promise. Your morning is filled with Pike Place Fish Market, the Seattle Art Museum and lunch at the incredible Steelhead Diner. With that wonderful full feeling, take the Underground Tour, sample some cheese at Beecher’s and wine at The Tasting Room.  For the evening fare, you won’t find a better spot than Elliott’s Oyster House. The evening is young and your table waits at Tula’s Jazz Club. Finish the evening with a dazzling view of Seattle from atop the Space Needle. On Sunday take a relaxing breath with a ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, lunch at the Harbor Public House. Once back on shore, stop off at Ye Olde Curiosity Shop to pick up souvenirs for yourself and friends back home.

Head home with that short ride to SeaTac on the Sound Transit.  We hope you’ll return soon for more Seattle fun!

The Crumpet Shop
These savory sweet bread snacks have the UK green with envy over the tasty creations like the Dolly Pardon and Nutella/ricotta cheese. The gourmet teas top off the yummy experience.

Pike Place Fish Market

Seattle Art Museum

Steelhead Diner

The Fab Placez team agreed that Steelhead Diner served some of the best food in Seattle. Chef Kevin Davis creates contemporary comfort food with a Northwest twist.

Underground Tour

After the Great Seattle Fire of 1889, Seattle was raised one story from the muck of the original street level. What became the "underground" was left untouched. The Underground Tour explores history frozen in time.

Beecher's Handmade Cheese

Watch the cheese making process from the retail shop area of Beecher's. Sample different varieties of this quality cheese product and don't forget to try some of the macaroni and cheese. It's nothing like you've ever tasted before.

The Tasting Room
Come to The Tasting Room, an unpretentious meeting place, to find one of the best collections of Washington State wines. The casual setting promotes spontaneous conversation, sampling of various wines, playing board games and, of course, petting the resident dog.

Elliot's Oyster House
Elliott's is famous for its signature crab service and offers one of the largest selections of fresh oysters in the world. For unbeatable seafood, join us at Elliott's on Pier 56.
Tula's Jazz Club

Tula's is the hot spot for Seattle jazz. You'll find music seven nights a week with top jazz artists. Reservations, (206) 443-4221, are a wise idea since the cozy venue can fill up quickly, especially on the weekend.

Seattle Space Needle

The Space Needle is a symbol of Seattle. It was built for the 1962 World's Fair. It features an observation deck and a gift shop with the rotating SkyCity restaurant. The views are spectacular and the experience is romantic, especially in the evening. The Needle closes at 10:30.
